I had a long discussion with a friend about my free-writing entries where i tell stories of corrupt or failed relationships. I was told that i write these stories as if I lived through them, and that I should try to compile them and present the work in the form of a book. It sounded like a good idea, but I have so many unfinished projects that needs my attention more. so then, being as though these pieces of work had already been posted, I compiled the links of the stories and present to you, the “BAD ROMANCE” collection. Do enjoy.

Kevin quickly put on his socks and shoes while searching the living room for his cell phone. Meanwhile, seated nearby on the couch was his wife, Annette, acting as if she were watching the television, but furtively peeking at her husband when he would turn away from her. They hadn’t been on good terms for a week and two days, going about their days as if the other does not exist. They both had a feeling that they were in the last days, or possibly weeks of their marriage, as counseling and individual therapy seemed to only make matters worse. Annette rolled her eyes and prepared to speak to her husband for the first time since their heated argument.
“Where are you going?” she asked as if she really did not care. “It’s ten at night.”
Kevin paused in his movement to conjure up an acceptable answer, telling her how spending time at the twenty-four hour hardware store was somewhat therapeutic for him, but there was not a store for miles that would be open that late. The truth was all over his face, and he knew it, often looking away from his wife, as if she would be able to read his mind through his lying eyes. Continue Reading
This is what comes from my brain when i don’t get enough sleep. lol.
One of the biggest issues my wife and I had was with communication. After six years of being married, i could now look in her eyes and know that there was something going on in her head that she did not feel comfortable talking about. Other than that, i always felt as if there was no problem, and everything between us was fine. That is until I found and read through her diary.
There are times in a marriage when a man should question if he truly knows his wife. I didn’t know her until i found the book, hidden under our mattress, on her side of the bed. When reading through it, I realized, not only had I not been so attentive to her lately, but i had become comfortable with her being in my life, that we no longer did things that were entertaining for us. We both just became accustomed to going to work, coming home, chit-chatting and going to bed. This was our daily routine, but I guess I was the only one that was comfortable with living that way. I didn’t know that it bothered her, but then again, it’s been years since my wife and I really sat down and had a long deep conversation. Now that i think of it, We hadn’t gone out and had fun in three long years. She also vents about that on the pages in her diary. Just as I began to feel sorry for how bad I’ve neglected and ignored my wife, I then found out about Glenn. Continue Reading
A man walks into a Sexaholics Anonymous meeting, not to get help, but to find someone just as horny as he was. So he scouts the group and finds this ridiculously hot nympho chick, who seemed to be subdued at the time, but once he got to know her, turned into this sexual firecracker, much to his liking.
Anyways, they both were involved in lousy miserable marriages, but that didn’t stop them from fucking each others brains out for hours on end, at almost every cheap motel in Los Angeles. They’d go at it for hours, sometimes, the entire day. The guy thought that it was a match made in heaven, finally, after so many failed relationships and his boring sexless marriage, he had finally met someone who not only understood him, but satisfied him sexually, as he always wanted, and needed. I wanted to try something different this time, so here is a free-writing entry in the form of a personal back-and-forth conversation between two people. It’s not the best, but it’s free-writing, so who cares, right? This is the last entry in my series of dark and sad stories, I promise. Do enjoy.
Her: “Do you ever get the feeling that what we are doing is wrong?”
Him: “It feels right when we’re doing it.”
Her: “No really. I mean, we’ve been doing this every Friday evening for almost a year, and I’m sure that the guy at the front desk knows what we are doing by now. I’m not complaining or anything, it’s just been running through my mind the past few weeks. Maybe we shouldn’t be doing this to each other, or to our families.”
This new Stream-of-Conscious writing entry is on a subject that many men and women can relate to. I would like to introduce to you a story that has been seen, heard and acted out on many occasions. Something that you may be familiar with, but this time, I would like to turn the tables, reverse the roles, and write the story in a dissimilar fashion. Do enjoy.
Jeff and Rita had come home from having dinner at their favorite local restaurant. It was their anniversary where they were celebrating their five years of marriage. before he set himself to join his wife in bed, he would enter his study to check and send some emails.
Jeff took a seat in his study and turned on the power to his computer monitor. To his surprise, the computer had been on and logged in under his wife’s username. His first thought was that she had been using the computer while he was at work, earlier in the day. He set out to log off from her user account, but paused before he could make an action. Something within him urged to look through the documents and windows she had left on her home screen. He exhaled and gave it some thought, as he had never been one to look through other peoples personal information, let alone his wife, but the feeling he had in his gut was something he had never felt before.
This was highly unlike him. Jeff never felt that he needed to look through his wife’s personal documents, nor had she ever gave him a reason to do so. They had been married for five long and enjoyable years, and there was not a shadow of doubt in his mind that he had not been a great husband to her. There was nothing to see, that is what he told himself, but still, that urge was there, and it would not allow him to dismiss the opportunity.
Jeff maximized the window displaying her email account. As he thought, there was nothing to see but junk mail, bill payment reminders and newsletters from local non-profit organizations, but he was not finished just yet. There was something there that he could not see, and to satisfy and kill the odd craving for information, he had to look through every file and folder that sat opened before him.
Clicking on the “Sent” folder showed him a set of emails that did not match what was seen in the inbox. Either the people that she had sent messages to never replied, or she deleted their responses, to destroy any evidence of a conversation. This created a rather odd feeling within him. A rush that developed in his stomach and traveled up his spine. This is what he was being pushed to see. That gut feeling was leading him here. Intuition. Continue Reading
